The Evidence-Based Health Policy Project is hosting a new event at the Wisconsin State Capitol this morning, Tuesday, November 14.
“The Other Half of Health: An Introduction to Social Determinants Part I: Family and Social Support” will take place from 11-12:15pm in State Capitol, Room 411-South. The program will feature presentations by Lawrence Berger, Director of the Institute for Research on Poverty and Gina Green-Harris, Director of the Center for Community Engagement and Health Partnerships. This first session of the series will deal with family and social support, including data on what Wisconsin families look like today, initiatives that aim to build family and social support to improve health outcomes, and considerations for policymakers.
Due to high demand, general public registration is closed. You may follow this link to receive program materials and video by email after the event: Other Half of Health Waitlist
The Evidence-Based Health Policy Project began in 2002 as Wisconsin Health Policy Forums with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation State Health Policy Forums initiative. This grew into the current multi-dimensional Evidence-Based Health Policy Project. The EBHPP Project Director is Sam Austin, firstname.lastname@example.org.
